Janction rose 136.9% in 24 hours and turned from an unknown into the biggest story of the day. JCT trades at $0.00467, and its daily range — from $0.00194 to $0.00480 — looks like a stock chart after someone punctured the balloon and then patched it back up with duct tape.
The backdrop was generous. Of 496 coins in the CoinGecko sample, 384 closed green and 112 red, the broadest green day in roughly two weeks. Bitcoin added 1.34% to $82,973, Ethereum rose 1.74% to $2,447.77, and total market capitalization climbed to $2.80 trillion. The green wave carried decentralized finance along with it, in the manner of a retired boxer who announces a farewell tour and then immediately books another fight.
Janction (JCT): +136.9%
What is Janction?
Janction is a decentralized compute infrastructure project tied to the Japanese Jasmy ecosystem — a layer-2 network positioning itself as a base layer for AI agents and GPU computing, something between a cloud provider and a marketplace for processing time. The pitch is that scattered compute capacity gets pooled into one network and sold to whoever needs it, without brokers and without forty-page contracts. JCT is the token used for payments and governance, with a total supply of 50 billion and 11.49 billion in circulation.
Why is it rising?
There is no single clean fundamental trigger behind a 136.9% move — this is a textbook micro-cap pump where turnover outruns capitalization. Volume of $45.8 million against a $53.7 million market cap means nearly the entire stated value of the project changed hands in one session. When that happens, price does not move because anyone revised their valuation; it moves because the number of hands holding the token changed, and a thin order book does the rest.
A tailwind came from the decentralized AI compute narrative, which is passing through another euphoric phase this month, and from the fact that JCT remains 55.8% below its high of $0.0106. For a token that has fallen from its peak, every larger buy order looks like a signal, even when it is just one wallet with more courage than capital.
Compound (COMP): +20%
What is Compound?
Compound is one of the oldest lending protocols in DeFi — live since 2018, and responsible in 2020 for launching the liquidity mining craze that infected the entire industry and produced hundreds of copies, most of them worse. The design is plain: users deposit assets into shared pools, an algorithm sets interest rates from supply and demand, and everything runs without intermediaries or business hours.
Why is it rising?
COMP jumped 19.96% to $25.95 on $124.7 million of volume — almost half of its market capitalization in a single day. The daily range of $20.99 to $29.07 says this was a fight rather than a one-way road: some buyers entered at the highs, others on the pullback, and demand ultimately won. A volume-to-market-cap ratio that high usually means larger players are building positions, not just day traders looking for a quick exit.
The bigger picture matters more than one session. Compound traded at $854 per token in 2021 and has since lost 97% of its value, so any double-digit bounce at this stage is a drop in the bucket. Within the sector, though, the message is unambiguous: lending spreads are being watched again, and protocols with nearly a decade of history and actual revenue are recovering attention they spent last year ceding to meme coins and agent narratives.
Aerodrome Finance (AERO): +11.2%
What is Aerodrome?
Aerodrome is the leading decentralized exchange on Base, the network Coinbase built on top of Ethereum. The model borrows from Curve and Solidly: liquidity is rewarded not only for depositing assets but for locking tokens for longer periods, which grants voting power over where emissions go. The result is a system where the largest lockers effectively decide reward distribution, while the exchange itself lives on fees it genuinely collects from trading.
Why is it rising?
AERO added 11.19% to $0.884 on $86.2 million of volume and an $869.3 million market cap — the strongest mover among serious names. The reason is a combination: Base has increased daily transactions over the past two weeks, and capital has been slowly returning to AERO after a stretch in which token holders exited locked positions en masse. When emissions decline and volume does not, the arithmetic favors price.
Convex Finance rose 14.57% from the same well, confirming a rotation toward liquidity infrastructure rather than an isolated spike in one project. Aerodrome still sits 61.8% below its $2.32 peak, reached at a time when Base was viewed as Ethereum’s future without any reservations attached.
Other notable movers
Dolphin (POD) finished up 24.3%, Impossible Cloud Network (ICNT) 18.4%, AI Rig Complex (ARC) 18%, SoSoValue (SOSO) 14.7%. Worldcoin (WLD) added 10.3%, confirming that capital this week is unbothered by names that drew heavy criticism last year, while Pepe (PEPE) gained 9.6% as a reminder that the meme sector has not retired. Above all of them sits the curiosity of the day: Doodles (DOOD) climbed 83% on $94 million of volume against a market cap of just $19 million — a number best observed from a distance, with no money on the table.
