Gains Network pulled a Usain Bolt on today’s market — by the time the rest heard the starting gun, GNS had already crossed the finish line at +92.8%. The token behind the gTrade leverage platform trades at $0.714, with $16.3 million in daily volume proving the move isn’t just a hollow pump.
But the market is more than one sprinter today. Basic Attention Token (BAT) keeps pace at +28.7%, priced at $0.1977. The token of the Brave browser ad network carries $171.9 million in 24-hour volume — nearly 60% of its own market cap. When volume eats market cap for breakfast, something is cooking in the kitchen.
Third in line is Optimism (OP), up +21.56% and back to $0.159. OP is one of the few layer-2 projects that convinced the market Ethereum’s ecosystem still has fuel in the tank. With $196.6 million in volume, it was among the most traded alts of the day.
Don’t sleep on Bitway (BTW) either: +19.59% to $2.08, with a $5.62 billion market cap. For a token moving shoulder to shoulder with the big boys, the modest media attention is almost an insult.
Riding the same wave are Swarm Network (+28.2%), Stader (+24.9%), Canopy (+14.2%) and Kamino (+11.7%), while ZKsync (+11.6%) slowly brings color back to its face after a long winter’s nap.
The wider picture: total market cap sits at $2.819 trillion, down -1.31% on the day, while Bitcoin climbed to $83,167 (+2.15%) and Ethereum to $2,498.86 (+2.67%). So while the big two hold the line, the alt scene is split — some sail north, others sink. Total volume is $87.6 billion; Bitcoin dominance is 59.25%.
Bottom line: when GNS rips 92%, BAT swallows its own volume and OP plays hero, it’s clear there’s still gas left in the alt rotation.
