Wormhole Sinks 10%, QNT Loses 6% — a Day for Three Red Stories

While Bitcoin rose 2.3% and pulled most of the market into the green, three tokens swam the other way. Wormhole, Quant and Grass posted losses that stand out sharply on a green day — because when the whole market climbs and something sinks, the problem usually is not the market, it is the token itself.

Today’s losers did not collapse dramatically, but on a day when everything is green, every red number stings like a guest who showed up to a wedding in a T-shirt.

Wormhole (W): -10.1% — the bridge that gave way

What is Wormhole? Wormhole is a protocol for moving messages and assets between different blockchains — a so-called cross-chain bridge. Its job is to let tokens and data travel between Ethereum, Solana, Base and dozens of other networks. In theory it is the transport infrastructure of the crypto world: without bridges, ecosystems would be isolated islands. In practice, bridges have been the industry’s most hated corner for years, both because they were the target of the largest hacks and because their token value correlates poorly with the number of transactions they move.

Why is it falling? Wormhole has been in a deep downtrend for years — it now sits 98.9% below its all-time high of $1.66 (Apr 3, 2024). Volume of $104.8 million against a market cap of $111.5 million means nearly the entire value of the token changed hands in a single day, a classic sign of aggressive selling. The token touched an all-time low of $0.0078 in late July 2026, then doubled, and is now sliding again. For a token with an enormous supply (10 billion W) and weak demand, every rejection quickly turns into a fresh wave of selling.

📊 W: price $0.01689 · 24h -10.09% · MCap $111.5M · 24h volume $104.8M · circulating supply ≈6.60B · max supply 10B · ATH $1.66 (Apr 3, 2024) · ATL $0.0078 (Jul 31, 2026)

Quant (QNT): -6.1% — a pullback after a good run

What is Quant? Quant develops Overledger, an operating system for connecting blockchains with traditional financial systems. The goal is ambitious: to let banks and institutions run multiple chains in parallel without caring which is which. QNT is one of the few tokens with an almost fixed supply — only around 14.6 million exist, making it the crypto equivalent of a rare stamp. With such a small supply and a high price, percentage moves are naturally bigger than average.

Why is it falling? Quant dropped from $231 to roughly $210 over the past 24 hours. There is no drama to hunt for here: after a solid stretch of gains, some holders used the green day to take profit, which is enough to move an illiquid token noticeably. The high price per token (above $200) further shrinks the pool of buyers, since it is psychologically harder to “get in” with a small amount. Right now QNT is an example of a token whose fundamentals hold up its value, while thin liquidity makes every exit painful.

📊 QNT: price $210.42 · 24h -6.09% · MCap $3.06B · 24h volume $188.8M · circulating supply ≈14.556M · max supply 14.612M · ATH $427.42 (Sep 11, 2021) · ATL $0.2158 (Aug 22, 2018)

Grass (GRASS): -4.6% — a DePIN identity crisis

What is Grass? Grass is a project in the DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure) category, building a network to collect web data. The idea is that users share a slice of their bandwidth and let the network scrape publicly available data in a decentralized way — bureaucracy without the bureaucracy. The GRASS token rewards participation in the network, and the project drew attention during the wave of airdrops and DePIN hype. Like many similar tokens, it carries the weight of expectations that are hard to meet day after day.

Why is it falling? The entire DePIN narrative is cooling off. When the market turns risk-on, capital flows into established tokens such as Uniswap or Optimism rather than into young projects still searching for their place. Grass hit an all-time high of $3.89 on Nov 8, 2024 and has since lost more than 80% of its value, so even a modest day of selling looks like another step downhill. Volume of $38.6 million against a $507 million market cap shows interest is still there, but not enough to stop the slide.

📊 GRASS: price $0.7260 · 24h -4.56% · MCap $507.5M · 24h volume $38.6M · circulating supply ≈699.5M · max supply 1B · ATH $3.89 (Nov 8, 2024) · ATL $0.1668 (Feb 5, 2026)
