SOON and BANK Lead Crypto Bloodbath, ApeCoin Down 9%
While part of the market celebrated, the other side burned. SOON took the hardest hit of the day with a 26.9% decline — a name ironically associated with speed, but this time the direction was all wrong. The blockchain project experienced a sharp correction following initial enthusiasm, a common pattern for newer protocols in early trading phases.
In second place by losses sits Lorenzo Protocol (BANK), down 26%. This liquid restaking token (LRT) project suffered a steep drop despite a solid daily volume of nearly $150 million. With a market cap of $72.4 million and a circulating supply of 425 million tokens, BANK is among the larger projects on today’s losers list — and the volume suggests panic selling rather than lack of interest.
Lagrange (LA) recorded a 19.6% decline, landing in the painful near-20% club. Lagrange is a cross-chain settlement and zero-knowledge proof protocol, placing it in the technologically advanced but high-risk category. Daily volume of $30.5 million against a relatively modest market cap of $10.4 million reveals a typical pattern: high activity relative to size, often signaling speculative selling.
TEH EPIK DUCK (EPIK) fell 16.2%, confirming that even ducks have bad days. This meme token with a memorable name and a circulating supply of 846 million tokens corrected after attracting attention through viral social media campaigns earlier this month. With a market cap of $7.3 million, EPIK is among the smaller tokens on the list.
Zilliqa (ZIL), one of the older projects on the list, dropped 13.4%. Zilliqa is a first-generation blockchain that focused on sharding before it became mainstream. Despite an impressive circulating supply of 19.5 billion tokens and a market cap of $49.9 million, the project has struggled with declining interest and price pressure for years. Today’s drop continues a long-term downtrend. Bitway (BTW) fell by the same percentage — an infrastructure tokenization project with a market cap of $183 million.
Vana (VANA), a relatively newer project with a $33.6 million market cap, dropped 11%. Vana focuses on decentralized data management and AI training sets — a compelling narrative, but apparently not enough to attract buyers in today’s bearish environment. Daily volume of $115 million suggests the project remains in the spotlight.
Semicon Bull 3X ETF (SOXLB), a tokenized fund tracking the semiconductor sector with 3x leverage, fell 9.5%. This is not a classic crypto project but a bStocks tokenized ETF — the decline likely follows movements in Asian stock markets, where semiconductor shares posted losses today.
0G and ApeCoin (APE) round out the list with 9.2% declines. 0G is an AI-focused modular blockchain, while ApeCoin remains a relic of the Yuga Labs NFT era that defined the 2021 bull run.
Today’s losers demonstrate that neither technological innovation nor historical reputation offers protection against corrections. In the world of crypto, every day brings a new lesson — and today’s lesson was: don’t hold too tight.
