While memes celebrated, three more serious tokens suffered a real disaster. DeXe dropped 28%, Cash Cat 24%, and even the Atletico Madrid Fan Token did not escape the bloodbath. The market is deeply divided — meme speculators party while fundamentalists count their losses.
DeXe (DEXE) leads the losers’ list with a 27.9% decline. The price fell to 4.43 dollars while market capitalization slipped to 210 million. Daily volume of 131 million dollars suggests the exits are open and institutions are heading out. DeXe is a decentralized exchange protocol, but on today’s market that was not enough to stay in the green. Its ATH sits at 48.85 dollars — meaning it is 91% below its all-time high. A return to former highs looks like science fiction.
Cash Cat (CASHCAT) dropped 23.7%. A price of 0.052 dollars sounds harmless, but losing nearly a quarter of value in a single day hurts just as much as with more expensive tokens. A market cap of 52 million dollars and a circulation of 990 million tokens point to yet another meme project that turned into a trap for late entrants. ATH was 0.22 dollars — the current price is 76% lower. Cash Cat looks more like a black cat than a lucky one.
Pons (PONS) fell 20.3% to 0.031 dollars. A market cap of 25.5 million and volume of 16 million suggest there is still interest, but exclusively on the sell side. Pons once traded at 0.048 dollars — today it is 35% below that peak. Two more days like this and it disappears from the radar entirely.
Atletico Madrid Fan Token (ATM) dropped 16.6% to 1.94 dollars. This one stings especially for fans of the Spanish giant who bought in when the token was at its ATH of 58 dollars. A 96.6% decline from the all-time high makes this one of the worst fan token performances on the market. Seventeen million dollars in volume cannot save a story that has been fading since 2022.
Bless (BLESS) lost 16.2% and fell to 0.0082 dollars. A supply of nearly 10 billion tokens is extreme, and a market cap of 15 million means the per-token price is basically pocket change. The ATH of 0.21 dollars represents a 96% decline. Bless has become a curse for its holders.
The Black Bull (ANSEM) dropped 13.8% to 0.178 dollars. With 417 million tokens in circulation and volume of 17 million, it is a mid-sized player on the losers’ list. But a 60% decline from its ATH of 0.44 dollars is no joke.
The broader context is simple: meme mania is eating everything in its path. Capital is flowing out of altcoins with real utility and into tokens with cats, dogs, and raccoons. Today’s losers are not necessarily bad products — they are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. DeXe has a functional product. Atletico Madrid Fan Token has a brand. But on today’s market, brand and product mean nothing without hype.
Bitcoin holds at 66,000 dollars with a 0.7% decline. Ethereum sits at 1,933 dollars with a slight 0.26% gain. While the heavyweights stabilize, the meme sector runs wild, and the middle layer of the market — today’s losers — evaporates.
Out of the top 500 cryptocurrencies, only 201 are in the green. Today’s losers are not the exception; they are the rule. Most of the market is red. Only memes managed to break through the wall and paint themselves green. The question is how long that will last.
