Daily Winners: IOST +122% leads the old guard’s comeback, GreenHood hits a record, Siacoin +30%

Bitcoin spent the past 24 hours having a quiet night near $78,300 (-0.2%), but the real stories were unfolding several floors below. While meme coins were drowning in a bloody sell-off on the other side of the board, veterans from the deepest waters of the rankings needed no time to shine again: IOST exploded 121.7%, Siacoin added 30%, and GreenHood smashed its own all-time high. The old guard’s comeback, led on Tuesday by the Polkadot–Cosmos duo, got a sequel on Wednesday — this time with even older actors.

IOST: +121.7% for a veteran from 2017

The biggest mover of the day among tokens with a serious market cap did not come from the meme scene or the AI sector, but from 2017. IOST, once a contender for the “Ethereum killer” title from the first ICO wave, rose 121.7% on Wednesday to $0.00189, trading in a daily range from $0.0008 to $0.0024. This is a project that crushed its own all-time low of $0.000526 on August 19 — less than three weeks ago. From that bottom, the token has already more than tripled.

The most telling number is turnover: the daily volume of $217 million is more than three times the entire market cap of $67 million. When that much capital churns through a token that usually trades quietly, someone is buying very decisively — and someone is selling just as decisively. Yet even after this surge, IOST remains 98.5% below its record of $0.1298 from January 2018. The setup resembles a movie about a champion coming out of retirement: audiences love a comeback story, but the statistics from the past do not guarantee a happy ending.

GreenHood, STONK and UnifAI: fresh records

While veterans are telling comeback stories, the younger generation is writing a chapter about records. GreenHood (HOOD) rose 31.7% to $0.0975 and touched its own all-time high of $0.0996 during Wednesday. Only a week ago, the token was sitting at an all-time low of $0.0092 — meaning it has multiplied tenfold in seven days, and its market cap is approaching $100 million.

STONK delivered a similar script: +12.2% and a fresh all-time high of $0.2501, on a daily volume of $103 million, although it closed the day at $0.186 after pulling back from the peak. UnifAI (UAI) added 11.4% and also finished at the edge of a record — $0.797 against an ATH of $0.814. The AI narrative is still selling tickets; the audience is just choosing front-row seats for smaller names now.

Siacoin: +30% for a pioneer from 2015

The oldest actor in today’s show comes from 2015. Siacoin, the pioneer of decentralized data storage, rose 30.1% to $0.000986 on a volume of $45.3 million and a market cap of $48.9 million. The project has survived more bear markets than most of today’s tokens have even existed, and its record of $0.0929 from January 2018 still serves as a reminder of just how deep the fall was.

Other old names were swimming alongside Siacoin: Orchid (OXT) jumped 65.9%, while Loopring (LRC) gained 19.3%. When rotation reaches the most neglected corners of the board, it is usually a sign that excess capital from meme coins is spilling into projects that have been waiting years for their turn.

Privacy and large L1s: MINA, ZEC and NEAR

Above the microcosm, bigger players also had their day. Mina Protocol rose 14.6% to $0.093, continuing its recovery from the all-time low set in late June. Zcash, the privacy veteran that has climbed to tenth place on the rankings with a $21 billion market cap, added 5.6% on the largest volume among today’s winners — $1.66 billion.

NEAR Protocol, the largest L1 on the winners’ list, rose 7.2% to $2.49 on a volume of $715 million. Tezos (+5.1%) and Kava (+4.7%) completed the picture of a day in which old names reclaimed the front rows — at least for one day.
