Bitcoin pushed through $80,000 — $80,497 to be precise — with a 4.05% daily gain, on the same day the Fear and Greed Index climbed out of fear and settled at 50. It read 34 yesterday. Ethereum added 6.45% to $2,420, Zcash confirmed its comeback at $1,301, and the total market capitalization of all 22,784 active coins rose to $2.71 trillion on $98.4 billion of 24-hour volume.
Yet the number that draws the eye sits nowhere near the top of the leaderboard. Elsa gained 58.78% in a single day on just $24 million of market cap and $55 million of turnover — meaning more than twice the project’s entire value changed hands. Somebody reshuffled the whole deck overnight in a game nobody fully understands.
Elsa (ELSA) — +58.78%
What is Elsa?
Elsa positions itself as an AI agent for crypto wallets — a layer between the user and the blockchain that translates plain language into on-chain actions: swaps, balance checks, transfers. Instead of clicking through seven menus and confirmations, the agent does the work in the background. The “AI agent for DeFi” category was the most inflated corner of the market through 2025 and 2026, and Elsa is one of its smaller players: 228.98 million tokens circulating out of a one-billion supply.
Why is it rising?
Two reasons, and neither is a fundamental in the classic sense. First, liquidity. When a token carries $24 million of market value, a few million dollars of fresh money is enough to send the price airborne — here, $55 million of volume against that tiny base. It is the arithmetic memecoins taught the entire industry by heart: small float, heavy turnover, explosive candle. Second, rotation. While Bitcoin delivers a calm, institutional-looking jump, part of the capital always hunts for a place where something visible can happen within a single session. Elsa was that place today.
Context still demands a cold head: Elsa peaked at $0.4004 in January 2026, and today’s $0.1045 sits 73.9% below that level. A move like this is, at best, a recovery of lost ground — not new territory. It is the exact plot of “Rocky”: the fighter is back on his feet, but the fight is still in the early rounds.
Financial data: price $0.1045 · market cap $23.7M · 24h volume $55.2M · circulating supply 228.98M ELSA (1B total) · ATH $0.4004 (Jan 21, 2026, −73.9%) · ATL $0.03778 (Jun 24, 2026)
Cap (CAP) — +29.92%
What is Cap?
Cap builds infrastructure for a “synthetic dollar” — a stablecoin backed not by plain bank reserves but by collateral and strategies that generate yield in capital markets. The idea is as old as DeFi itself: hold a dollar that works instead of a dollar collecting dust. Cap is one of the fresher entrants in that space, with 1.56 billion tokens circulating out of 10 billion and a market capitalization of $149 million.
Why is it rising?
Cap climbed 29.92% on $67 million of volume, nearly half its market value. The catalyst was the same wave that lifted the whole market: when Bitcoin jumps four percent and clears a psychological line, money rotates out of “safe” positions into projects with a yield story. Stablecoin infrastructure is an awkward thing to celebrate — like throwing a party for your savings account after the stock market rallies. Yet that is precisely what happened: when banks pay nothing, the search for yield moves on-chain.
The token remains 21.2% below its $0.1208 peak from October 12, 2026, so this is a return to form rather than a breakout. Cap looks like the team that lost its first two games of the season and then won the third by three goals — encouraging, but the table still reads badly.
Financial data: price $0.09517 · market cap $149M · 24h volume $67.2M · circulating supply 1.56B CAP (10B total) · ATH $0.1208 (Oct 12, 2026, −21.2%) · ATL $0.01549 (Jul 12, 2026)
Raydium (RAY) — +12.24%
What is Raydium?
Raydium is one of the foundational decentralized exchanges on Solana — an automated market maker that handles a large share of trading in newly issued tokens on that chain. If Solana is the shopping mall, Raydium is the cash register at the entrance. The project is old, battle-tested and boring in the way all infrastructure is boring: nobody writes novels about it, everybody uses it.
Why is it rising?
Solana added 2.83% today and returned to $95.43, and whenever Solana breathes, Raydium breathes with it — its revenue is a direct function of on-chain activity. Twelve percent on a day of solid protocol volume is a logical consequence, not a miracle. On top of that, Raydium’s $465.6 million market cap is large enough for serious funds to hold without fearing slippage on the way out.
History, however, is unforgiving: the $16.83 peak landed on September 12, 2021, in the previous cycle, and today’s $1.73 is 89.8% lower. Raydium is a veteran who survived two winters, not a young champion. In sporting terms: not a fresh academy transfer, but a player with 300 appearances who scored in the first minute.
Financial data: price $1.73 · market cap $465.6M · 24h volume $48.7M · circulating supply 269.96M RAY (555M total) · ATH $16.83 (Sep 12, 2021, −89.8%) · ATL $0.1344 (Dec 29, 2022)
The wider picture
The market looked like a bus that finally pulled out of the station: Bitcoin at $80,497, Ethereum at $2,420, Bitcoin dominance at 59.58%, Ethereum dominance at 10.89%. A Fear and Greed reading of 50 means the panic from the start of the week has evaporated, yet euphoria has not arrived — historically the healthiest zone for a rally to continue.
Keep both feet on the floor. Two of the three stars above are small tokens with outsized volume, and those moves tend to come back like a boomerang. Elsa’s 58% sounds spectacular until the chart shows the token 74% below its peak; Cap’s 30% looks great until the calendar shows it was more expensive three weeks ago. The real winner of the day, hand on heart, is Bitcoin — the only one that crossed a line measured in headlines rather than decimals.
Not investment advice. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile assets and losing the entire stake is a realistic possibility.
