OTC climbed 225.6% in 24 hours, touched a fresh record of $0.0345 and then settled at $0.0253 — as if a token named after Wall Street decided to star in its own IPO. The project behind Over-The-Counter Desks lets users earn through stocks, pre-IPO rounds and yield, and today’s turnover of $26.2 million more than doubled its entire market capitalization.
Second on today’s podium was GRX Chain, whose token gained 63% and stopped at $21.28 — literally three cents below its record high of $21.31. GRX is the native currency of an EVM-compatible, DPoS-powered chain from the GroveX ecosystem, built around fast finality, low fees and infrastructure for DeFi protocols. The name sounds like it was picked by a random ticker generator, but the chain behaves as if it has a date with history.
The day’s biggest crowd-puller, however, was Sophon, up 36% on $34.2 million in volume — more than its entire market cap of $23.6 million. Sophon is a modular rollup built on the ZK Stack, designed as an entertainment platform that rewards users for data they produce anyway. The name, borrowed from "The Three-Body Problem," now sounds prophetic — a particle that is impossible to stop.
IOST also joined the wake-up call, adding 29.3% and snapping a long slumber. The 2018 veteran, backed by Sequoia and Matrix, once promised ultra-high TPS and the rails of a decentralized economy. Today’s jump to $0.00094 shows old wolves still know how to hunt — even when their $0.13 record high remains frozen in January 2018.
Among the more serious stories, Kaspa drew the most attention: up 13.1%, it crossed the $1 billion market cap mark. Yesterday it was knocking on that door; today it walked through. The proof-of-work network with blockDAG architecture now trades at $0.0365, proof that the market still loves a fast consensus story.
While Bitcoin retreated 1.5% to $79,110 over the past 24 hours and Ethereum lost 0.9%, several large caps refused to hit the brakes. Worldcoin rose 14.1% to $0.479 with the day’s biggest winner volume — $460.7 million — suggesting the iris-scanning narrative is spinning heads again. Injective added 16.6% to $6.18 on $214 million in volume, confirming its status as a favorite DeFi stage.
The most entertaining episode, though, belongs to Akedo — yesterday’s biggest loser by market cap after a 25.4% slide. Today AKE rebounded 18.4% to $0.0165 and pushed its market cap back toward $375 million: the classic story of a knocked-out boxer rising before the count of ten.
Today’s tape is anything but uniform: while some capital flees meme narratives, other money chases infrastructure, legacy chains and real volume. The rotation is brutal — but it is exactly such stretches that reveal who has liquidity and who only has a story.
