While the winners celebrated, three tokens suffered a genuine collapse. STONK lost 28.0%, Anonymous Cat (ZCAT) 29.7%, and GRIFFAIN 21.1% — while some smaller tokens fell more than 40%. The market thus showed its other, far less friendly face, the one where hype turns to ash overnight.
STONK (-28.0%): The Meme That Fell Out of Fashion
STONK slid 28.0% to $0.213, on volume of $50.5 million and a market cap of $180.7 million. It sounds familiar — just three days ago, on September 11, the token hit an all-time high of $0.343. It now sits 37.9% below that peak. It was like a sprinter who first broke a world record and then tripped on the finish line. STONK, like most meme projects, lived off hype — and hype is an unstable ally. When volume north of $50 million accompanies a nearly one-third drop in value, it is clear the sellers took the baton and euphoria gave way to panic.
Anonymous Cat (ZCAT) -29.7%: Nine Lives Were Not Enough
Anonymous Cat lost 29.7% to $0.0838, with a market cap of $81.2 million. The peak of $0.1755 reached on September 7 now looks like a distant memory — the price is 52.3% below it. The project rose more than 270% from a low of $0.0224, only to see much of that gain evaporate within a handful of sessions. The cat, it seems, burned through all nine lives in a single week. Unlike STONK, daily volume here was just $7.3 million — as thin as the ice the project built its story on. When liquidity dries up, every sell order leaves a twice-as-deep scar.
GRIFFAIN (-21.1%): An AI Agent Without a Signal
GRIFFAIN dropped 21.1% to $0.0124. A market cap of $12.4 million and volume of $6.4 million show a project that lost the fight for attention. The peak of $0.6249 from January 2025 is now 98% away — a decline that would give even the most optimistic investor a cold shower. The AI agent meant to bring a revolution is now fighting for bare existence in the market. The irony is all the sharper because artificial intelligence was one of the most hyped sectors last year; today it proves that hype without users cannot hold a price.
A Bloodbath in Smaller Tokens
The picture is even more dramatic among smaller projects. ZZZ plunged 47.9%, OTC 48.8%, and KNOTS 43.7%. 4Stock (4STOCK) lost 33.6%, ubik (UBIK) 34.5%, and baton 37.8%. When so many tokens fall apart at once, it usually means one thing — capital is retreating selectively toward safer harbors. Today the tide went out, and with it everything that was floating without a real foundation. This was not a rotation within a sector but a genuine flight to quality, in which the thinnest projects were left without buyers.
Unlike the day’s winners, who built on real volume and concrete announcements, the losers shared a common denominator: high valuations without matching market depth. When euphoria fades, the math always collects its bill — and it does so without mercy.
