Quant shed nearly a fifth of its value today, becoming the biggest loser among the more serious projects, while The Graph and SuperRare slid down the same cliff. As most of the market bled only slightly, this trio took a genuine skydive without a parachute.
Bitcoin finished the day at $83,536, down 1.09%, so it is no surprise that red dominated the board. But for some coins the minus was not cosmetic — it was a real haircut.
Quant (QNT) — a fall from the rooftop
Quant dropped 19.33%, to $231.22, after touching a high of $318.36 during the day before plunging to $196.87. That is a range of nearly 40% in a single session — enough to rattle even the coolest trader. Trading volume of $1.16 billion shows real blood on the floor, and market capitalization fell to $3.36 billion, knocking Quant out of the exclusive club.
For years Quant was the coin “for grown-ups” — a project with heavyweight partnerships and a reputation as infrastructure for banks. Today it looked like a distinguished professor who forgot his own name mid-lecture. The audience sold on instinct.
The Graph (GRT) — indexing into the red
The Graph slipped 14.86%, to $0.0305, on $77.84 million in volume and a $334 million market cap. GRT is the coin that “indexes the world” and makes blockchain data searchable, but today it looked like a search engine that finds nothing but its own lost value.
Whenever one of the foundational infrastructure projects falls this hard, it signals that “smart money” sentiment is cautious. GRT is not a hype coin — it is a coin for the patient, and patience was on clearance today.
SuperRare (RARE) — an NFT market with an identity crisis
SuperRare lost 17.24%, to $0.0178, on $25.31 million in volume. A market cap of $146 million and a price that sits 99.5% below its all-time high of $3.64 say plenty about the fate of this NFT project. SuperRare was once a star of the digital art saga, and today it resembles a gallery where nobody opens the door anymore.
Ironically, the rarest part of the SuperRare story is profit — for most buyers it has become a rare, expensive souvenir.
The broader picture — cooling after euphoria
This is a classic correction after a stretch of over-optimism. When the market rises for weeks, a single piece of bad news is enough for profits to be taken instantly. Quant, Graph and SuperRare did not fall because of their own mistakes — they fell because investors decided to cash in gains, and those who entered too late were left holding the bag.
The lesson of the day is as old as the exchange itself: whatever flies highest has the longest fall. And today, some flew very high — then fell even further.
