apeonfone Down 43% and Bitlayer 29%: Crypto’s Basement Has New Tenants

While Ramses celebrates a pharaoh’s parade at the top, a very different story is unfolding in the market’s basement – the one about tokens that forgot to open their parachutes. Leading the free fall are apeonfone, down 43 percent, and Bitlayer, down 29 percent, followed in a stuntman’s chain by Cysic, Prom and Helium.

apeonfone experienced what the tech world would describe as launching a phone nobody ordered. The price dropped to $0.019, the market cap to $19.4 million, and $20 million in volume suggests the exit was organized and fast. A comparison with the famous scenes from “WALL-E” comes to mind – humanity abandoning the ship while soothing music plays in the background.

Bitlayer, a project named after layers of blockchain infrastructure, fell 29 percent to $0.12. If the layers were built like houses of cards, today was the wind that knocked down the first row. A $30 million market cap with $51 million in volume points to heavy selling in a short window – the classic pattern when trust melts faster than price.

Cysic rounded out the inglorious podium with a 26 percent drop. The token went from its $1.78 all-time high to $0.62, meaning it sits more than 65 percent below its peak. The name sounds like cybernetics, but today’s performance was anything but cybernetic precision – more like an old robot tripping over its own cable.

Helium, once the star of decentralized networks, lost 20 percent and fell to $0.64. The balloon, literally and metaphorically, deflated. From its $54.88 all-time high, the token is now down an incredible 98.8 percent – a number that sounds like a bad joke but isn’t. Prom, meanwhile, showed with its 17 percent drop that even a catchy name doesn’t escape gravity: the $5.45 price remains far from its $105 peak, and today’s loss is just the latest in a long series of disappointments.

Further down the list sit zkPass, down 15 percent, and Ontology Gas, down 13 percent. zkPass, which by name should be a knowledge-free pass, was anything but a pass today – the test failed before it even started. Ontology Gas, as its name suggests, ran out of fuel halfway: $0.093 with a $44.6 million market cap.

All together, a day like this resembles a sports match where the home team leads 5-0 and the visitors keep pushing forward – not because they believe in a comeback, but because they have no other plan. From a technical standpoint, such crashes often leave supports where the market can stabilize, but the previous all-time highs show how long the road back really is. For every token that returned to old levels today, a dozen are still waiting in the queue.
