Kinesis Gold crashed 49.9%, Kinesis Silver lost 47.9%, and Glidr dropped 47.4% — the market received a bloody reminder on Wednesday that even “safe” stories are not immune to crypto chaos.
What is Kinesis Gold?
Kinesis Gold (KAU) is tokenized gold — each token represents ownership of physical gold stored in vaults, aiming to combine the stability of precious metals with crypto flexibility. The project works as a hybrid: the price should theoretically track global gold prices, but in practice the token often diverges from physical gold due to liquidity and speculation.
Why is it falling?
The 49.9% drop in 24 hours has nothing to do with the gold price — physical gold is stable. This is a correction after a period in which KAU significantly deviated from the metal’s price, with thin liquidity amplifying every move. When a large player pulls out, a token with $9 million in volume simply lacks the depth to cushion the blow. Kinesis Silver (KAG) suffered from the same problem — a 47.9% decline with almost no trading volume.
What is Glidr?
Glidr (GLIDR) is an Avalanche-based protocol focused on tokenization and liquidity — a platform connecting traditional finance with DeFi. The project once attracted attention through institutional partnerships, but its story rests on trust in maintaining liquidity — and that is exactly what failed today.
Why is it falling?
Glidr lost 47.4% with volume at practically zero — a classic sign that selling arrived when there were no buyers. After the token fell from its $2.10 ATH to below one dollar, the technical picture collapsed and every recovery attempt meets fresh supply. When the price breaks key support with such a thin order book, a correction turns into a freefall.
